One year later...

I am really bad about this whole blogging thing. But, I was reading in a magazine today about mom's who blog to keep kind of a journal for their kids and themselves to look back on and I thought that was pretty cool. SO, that is my goal! To be consistent enough with it that I will enjoy going back through one day :-)

Well, lets see in a year what has happened?
We got pregnant last November (found out the day after Thanksgiving) even though I pretty much knew right away!

Ethan turned 2 in Feb and we had a big shindig at our old duplex (35 people came! 11 were kids!) needless to say we won't be doing that for his 3rd! :-) Our theme was Jungle Animals because he really liked reading about animals and learning the names and sounds at the time!

In April we started working with Wayne Janner, realtor and husband to a friend in my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group..to find a home! We found one and moved in in May when I was 6 months pregnant! I do not recommend it.. Nathan and I had fun painting and decorating our new house as loudly as we wanted (Nobody on the other side of the wall to worry about!) One of the perks of our new house is the HUGE backyard that we have great plans for! But, the downside is that it's HUGE and Nate only has a push-mower. Luckily his grandma is passing her old riding mower down to us with minimal repairs to make. I am not sure how "old" it is but, Nathan is pretty excited about it!

The summer was filled with days spent in the a/c or at my friends community pools. We ate alot of watermelon and ice pops- which is how ethan learned his colors! :-)

Avery Grace entered our lives in Aug on the 4th in a planned c-section. It was so much better than the first one.. and I didn't think the first one was bad! Nathan's mom came down for a week while we were in the hospital to watch Ethan. He had alot of fun with his "mae-mae"

The past 6 weeks have been full of baby showers( Julie & Sarah A), births of friends babies (Jake Taylor- a week older than Avery/ Luke Hipp born first week of Sept/ Sully Paulling born this week), anticipating births of new babies (Heather is due this week, Julie is due Oct 19th)and starting up the fall schedule again. This summer I was asked to be a DGL *discussion group leader* by my fellow MOPS ladies. I was thrilled but nervous to take on the responsibility. It is proven to be pretty awesome! I don't know what I would have done without my mom friends the past year. They are amazing!! Also starting a new bible study again at my church. There are a few MOPS moms doing it this time so it should be lots of fun! It's a Beth Moore book called When Godly People Do Ungodly Things.

Other than all that fun stuff just waiting for Heather's boy to arrive, watching Ethan's vocabulary grow and Avery's cooing and smiling skills are starting. Life is good. Now that I am all caught up I can post everyday life stuff. Yay! Pics will be next.. Ciao
