Happy Birthday to Meeeeeee!!!!

Well, today I am officially in my late 20's.. the big 28!! So far today I have gotten alot of messages on my facebook and myspace, phone calls, text messages and two cards in the mail. One from my Pops and one from mom and dad vorhies...they sent me some moolah so, I went out and bought myself a new purse. I wouldn't normally spend much on a purse and I still didn't compared to some of my friends but I am super excited! Then Dan came over for lunch cause he was working from home today and brought me some yummy chinese food! mmmmm Now Ethan is asleep and I am just relaxing.

Tonight Julie and I are headed to Dave and Busters to play some games!! yes! I haven't been there since I was preggo!
I got emailed two coupons to use tonight so I have 20 dollars in free game play PLUS Nate was there for a bachelor party not long ago and said he put alot of points on the card.. so hopefully I can get something cool from the prize area!! I am such a kid! I can't wait til nate gets home.. then I can open my presents from him and ethan! I have an idea what I got cause we make each other lists for holidays and bdays but, I don't know for sure!! :-)

Then Saturday after I work from 8-2 in the sun, which I don't mind I love my job.. I get to have a REAL date with my hubby! We haven't had Dinner AND a movie in forever so.. it should be fantastic.. I am really happy today! I need to put up some more pics of ethan from the park the other day.. tooo cute! ta ta for now.

Artsy Partsy

So I babysat for my dear friend Kate Friday morning. Her baby boy Jonny is 6 months old and he is so sweet! He is a year younger than Ethan! I took pictures.. what a difference a year makes! I really felt my motherly instinct craving another bundle while I was holding him and playing with him. Babies are so amazing!! I can't wait to have another.. I really want a girl next but I think I am coming to terms with the fact that a boy might be in my best interest... lol.

This morning I had to wake up so early 7:30am!! so I could make it to the park by 8:30 for photos.. wow was it hot out! but, I love my job its so much fun watching the kids try to pose akwardly and smile at the same time! I kinda feel led to being a photographer once Ethan and any other child God blesses me with are in school. One of the girls I work with said that she worked for LifeTouch and they basically train you and then you make bucko bucks taking pics during the school year.. so, that may be something I look into later! :) I have always been interested in artsy things just never persued because there's no money.. hence the saying.. starving artist!! but now I feel the pull again so, we will see what God has in store for me! :D

I also really excited that this week is my birthday week! I am not anticipating as much as I use to when I was younger but.. I am pretty excited about the plans I do have! My awesome hubby is going to take me on a real live date- dinner and a movie to see eagle eye and then my best girl Julie is going to go to D&B's with me and Tear it up!! w00t! I love the coin game.. you get tons o tickets!

Julie has helped me have special birthdays ever since I have known her.. over the years we have done shopping, movies, roller skating, ice skating, dancing, shawn mcdonald concert etc... so this is just another fun adventure! I am glad I have someone to share my day with that is open to doing whatever!! Besties for life!!

The other night Nate was out in the backyard.. i forget why but he found this little frog and wanted to show ethan.. I documented the event..like always






Last Monday after bible study it was beautiful outside so, I took ethan to the park down the street from us... he loves the slide!

Sunday was the Little House Picnic and we got to see Cory and his baby girl Sophia.. she is 9 months old already! crazy how time flies.. she is so cute.

blibbity blobbity goo..

Well, so much for blogging everyday. My lovely friend julee pointed out I need to blog more. I just don't know what to write about like.. are these details important or interesting enough? or maybe they are tooo intimate for my blog. So i just do nothing. I told nate I also feel like I have to post photos everytime I blog. he says no. that it would bog it down. So I guess I will treat it as an online diary persay. If it bores whoever that reads it.. so sorry. lol

Lets see.. I have been involved in this women's bible study and it is soo hard for me to remember to do my daily work. ok let me rephrase.. I remember alright but I don't sit my ass in the chair and do it. I PROCRASTINATE. Take today for example. I have done a milliont things and it seems like I have barely made a dent in my day. Ethan and I went to this massive garage sale in leawood only to find out it was a dud. I bought two shirts there.. one a kc royals tee for me to wear ( I have a thing for wearing men's tee's lately cause they are comfy and cover my fat) and one for nate that is super nice for work kinda sweatery kinda not.. 3 bucks! anyways.. then we went to target bought my neice a present (kitty cat piano) and some food items. well it was 2 at this point ethan should have been napping so I drove through mc'ds cause there was no way we would have gotten home and made it through me cooking him lunch.. we ate on the way home, then i unload the car, put away the cold stuff, scarf my food down all while he keeps asking me to put this batman launcher thing back together after everytime he shoots it off.. so we get him to bed.. ahhh relaxing time.. no way! i run downstairs, swap laundry try to find a box for this odd shaped gift i bought-- no luck yet, phone rings run up stairs call them back, un load dishwasher, talk to nate on im in between, take pic of wheel to put on craigslist, upload it upstairs on and on it goes.... you get the point.. so its now 430 when do i have time especially since tonight is the best night for tv ever!!! i will have to make time!

i did have a fabulous talk with my lil sis about god last night. she said she was afraid to believe and we must have talked for about an hour. I really believe god was talking through me to her and she was really into it at the end of our talk. I hope she gets it and finds out what she needs to be happy..I do feel like even though most days I feel like a chicken with my head cut off my relationship with god has improved tremendously lately.. probably thanks to the bible study! haha. irony... when something is ironic--- reality bites.

well.. that's all i got for now. I am going to post some pics on a new post. R

I figured out the picture deal! We are in business! I took these pictures of Ethan this afternoon when we got home from lunch with daddy and having to make an "emergency" run to the chiro-- mommy's rib was out AGAIN! so weird. This vaccumm he is playing with is his new favorite toy. He wants to take it everywhere!! He found it at a used baby sale so, it found a good home for cheap.. luckily! :D

These pictures are from 2 weeks ago.. We went to Deanna Rose Farmstead on a Saturday mid morning. Nate had never been, it was humid out so we didn't stay too long but ethan loved feeding and petting the goats as you can see.. he wanted to jump in the water with the ducks also!

I keep seeing all these really cool blogs that people have and I want one too! I don't quite know how to do the photo thing yet or the snazzy backgrounds but.. i am a computer nerd or at least that's what my piece of paper from DeVry says.. I think I can figure it out... and, when I do.. It will be AWESOME!! Stay Tuned.
